Transformative Moments with Kelsey Davis, Grad Student and Blogger
Who are today’s youth? What does the future of our Country look like? Are we doomed to failure or are we poised on the brink of Love and Light for all Humanity? Hearing this interview with Kelsey Davis, blogger at www.crackermuffin.blogspot.com and soon-to-be grad student, you will be filled with excitement over the brightness of our collective future!
In today’s show Kelsey discusses several transformative moments that changed the course of her life, allowing her to build her dreams and live her sparkle, simply because she had the courage and the humility to listen, heed the call and take action. Kelsey graduated from Brigham Young University and had been accepted to graduate school at Georgetown University when she felt the calling to postpone graduate school go on a mission instead. Despite the fact that she said she would never go on a mission – especially to a third world country, be a teacher, and even though all of her family, friends and teachers were all prepared and excited for her experience at Georgetown, Kelsey went to the Dominican Republic for an 18-month mission instead.
There she learned about love in action, respect for others and their culture and beliefs, as well about herself and her ability to persevere despite rejection and exhaustion. She learned first-hand how to rely on herself and her faith, how not to limit herself, and how to have the courage and humility to forge the life she felt called to live. Kelsey is now back at home and is poised to enter graduate school, but this time in an entirely different capacity and at an entirely different school.
This time, Kelsey is exactly where she needs to be, all because of her ability to Trust in her Truth!

The Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour with Mariam Massaro
Friday Nov 11, 2016
Friday Nov 11, 2016
Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #236 was taped at Singing Brook Studio and features Mariam Massaro on vocals, percussion, native flute, dulcimer and acoustic 6- and 12- string guitars, Craig Harris on congas and balaphone, Bob Sherwood on piano and Dameron Midgett on percussion, mandolin, didjeridoo and acoustic guitar. Four numbers from Mariam’s “Vision Quest” album begin the show today on a deeply spiritual note commemorating Indigenous Peoples’ Day, beginning with “We Call In The Elements”, featuring beautiful native flute from Mariam and soulful backing from all. “Fire In Our Bellies” is loosely a minor blues with jazzy piano work from Bob, lyrical native flute from Mariam and fundamental didjeridoo from Dameron. “Rainbows” is an airy, wistful piece featuring a fine vocal from Mariam and tight mandolin work from Dameron. Wrapping up this set is the classically-derived “Water”, a prayer for the waters featuring Bob’s busy, filigreed piano and steady conga work from Craig.
In the fine tradition of storytelling on The Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour Dameron and Mariam present the story of “Arthur Turnbuckle” the tale of a young English sailor and Nangtani, the Goddess of Bananas. Alternately suspenseful and sensuous, “Arthur Turnbuckle” is an adventure in both narrative and music. After this tour de force, we finish today’s hour with “Climate Change- It’s Real”, a lush, mysterious hymn to Mother Nature’s power featuring a fine, crisp conga performance from Craig and expressive acoustic guitar from Dameron. Mariam’s prayer to nature turns on a lovely vocal and expressive lyrics.

Appreciation – The Second Law of LionHearted Leadership™
Continuing with the glimpse into our upcoming White Lion Leadership Academy, Linda reveals more insights into the Herculean and Androclean styles of leadership, and introduces us to the Second Law – the Law of Appreciation.
Linda asks – and provides some thought provoking answers to – some deep questions. Why do we resist appreciating ourselves, why do we resist appreciating each other? Berry wonders what the difference is between Appreciation and Gratitude, and Linda shares her thinking and her reasons for choosing Appreciation as the word to describe this powerful Way of Lion.
Deep discussion leads to a revelation the Third Law, which Linda will discuss in detail in our next episode. But it is beautifully demonstrated in this show, in an open-hearted conversation between Linda and American Animal Communicator and Author, Joan Ranquet. Joan has some surprises for us – listen carefully to the deep wisdom that flows from communication across the species barrier.

Artic Ice Melt and the Devastating Consequences to Planet Earth
Barry and Maya Spector discuss their many years of offering an annual Day of The Dead grief ritual in the East San Francisco Bay--it's healing power for participants and for the facilitators. We discuss the fact that the underlying myths of America culture are collapsing and notice how that collapse is increasing the madness of human beings who inhabit industrial civilization. Without conscious grieving in a safe and supportive container, the madness can only increase, along with our sense of despair and isolation.

Say It With Words with Julie Martin
Words are powerful. They can... Evoke a memory... Brighten your day... Unleash a passion.... Stop you dead in your tracks... Bring instant tears of joy to your eyes... Light you up with encouragement or inspiration... Connect you to a significant person or event in your life... Remind you of who you want to be or what you want to achieve... Change you into a contemplative or introspective frame of mind...
Julie Martin has always been drawn to sayings and quotes. She feels particularly moved by them when they help her re-frame, inspire her to better herself, make her think, motivate her or cause her to gain a new perspective.
By trade and education, Julie is a physical therapist. She has her Master of Science degree in physical therapy and has been blessed to work in this field for over two decades. Words, communication, empowerment, motivation, and connection are all things Julie has to utilize in order to successfully create rapport with her patients and to facilitate their rehabilitation. She feels humbled and honored to have her life intersect with those of her patients, and frequently she shares particularly meaningful sayings and quotes with them.
Faith and family are cornerstones in Julie's life. She's passionate about her husband and two daughters and feels strongly that it is important to serve others. Not only does she get to serve the needs of her patients and family, but she also actively volunteers at her daughters' school and at church, further allowing her to connect with others and be present in the lives of her girls.
