Wheelchair Wisdom with Author Linda Noble Topf
An MS patient since 1981 and an advocate for disability rights, Linda Noble Topf has been an ordained minister since 1984, a spiritual and wellness coach, professional speaker, design and marketing entrepreneur, wife of 34 years, and a published author. She is dedicated to assisting others in seeing that chronic illness, debilitating injury, or any kind of adversity in any stage of life, can be viewed as a spiritual awakening, and an opportunity for personal growth.
Linda has lived with illness for over 30 years, but her intrinsic inner health has taught her that dealing with illness means more than getting rid of it. Linda has a natural inclination toward growth; so rather than forcing transformation to happen because of her physical challenges, she created ideal conditions for natural transformation to thrive. She identified key qualities she could focus on and strengthen/cultivate within herself, and used these core strengths to bring forth for herself a new transformational, creative experience of self-expression.
Linda Noble Topf is the author of You Are Not your Illness: Seven Principles for Meeting the Challenge, which shows that illness, injury, or disability can not only physically alter the course of your life, but can also cause great emotional upheaval and loss of self-worth. In this remarkable and uplifting book, Linda delves deeply into her own experience to share with readers the keys to regaining emotional and spiritual wholeness. Linda believes that real healing has nothing to do with the state of the physical body, and she offers a compassionate and inspirational message—along with support, skills, and encouragement—to those who want to embrace the challenge of living successfully with illness. It is her intention to leave people transformed with more power, freedom, self expression, and peace of mind.
Linda’s second book, Wheelchair Wisdom™: Awaken Your Spirit through Adversity (coming soon), shatters widespread notions of what it’s like to spend life in a wheelchair, which addresses the unique circumstances of the millions of people in wheelchairs. She wants to convey the message that lies at the heart of her convictions—that people are more than their wheelchairs, more than their disabled bodies. Wheelchair Wisdom™ bears testimony to what Linda has learned and experienced—that each of us, regardless of circumstances, can move through life with freedom in a creative and joyful way. http://wheelchairwisdom.com/

& Founder of the Evolutionary Dalian Method
Healing the Body and Awakening Consciousness with the Dalian Method: An Advanced Self-Healing System for a New Humanity
Mada Eliza Dalian is a world-renowned luminary, spiritual teacher, and master of healing and personal transformation. She is the founder of the revolutionary Dalian Method™ (DM) featured in Healing the Body and Awakening Consciousness with the Dalian Method: An Advanced Self-Healing System for a New Humanity book and 2 CD set,
the award-winning best-selling author of In Search of the Miraculous: Healing into Consciousness, and the creator of several meditation techniques.
Mada began her quest for truth at the age of five when she witnessed her grandfather’s death. Becoming aware of her own mortality at such a tender age, she began to contemplate life’s existential questions: Who am I? Where have I come from? and Where will I go when I die? At the age of twenty-four, she left behind her training in education and architecture and devoted herself to the search for truth and spiritual enlightenment. After years of meditation and introspection, she was blessed with several profound experiences that ultimately led to a powerful awakening experience at the age of thirty-three. In 1997, combining her experience of enlightenment and extraordinary ability to accurately read the unconscious beliefs imprinted in people’s energy and their body’s cellular memory that cause pain, illness, and inner unrest, Mada pioneered a new healing system, which helps to quickly and permanently transform pain and suffering into health and self-empowered consciousness. Mada shares her wisdom through Dalian Method seminars, workshops, online courses, retreats, private sessions, and coach and facilitator trainings.

EcoMind – Changing the Way We Think to Create the World We Want: A Conversation with Anna Lappe
Do we really have a dangerous climate change underway? Is it man-made or not? Is there anything each of us as individuals can do about it? Huge amounts of money are spent to convince us that there is nothing to worry about, and as President George Bush said after Sept 11, “Whatever you do, don’t stop shopping.”
Today’s guest, widely respected author and educator Anna Lappe, disagrees with Faux News and others who disclaim the “Climate Change Hoax” of the scientific community. Known for her work as an expert on food systems and as a sustainable food advocate, Anna shares with us her belief that ideas have enormous power and that humans are capable of changing failing ideas in order to turn our planet toward life.
In this revealing conversation we try to identify the core, often unspoken, assumptions and forces now taking our planet in a direction that, as individuals, none of us would choose. We look beneath the wasteful and superficial “consumer frenzy,” to see that consumption is a wonderful window into our feelings of empowerment, security and connection, and beyond technology fixation to see the importance of relationships in the change we want to make.
Anna shares with us the power of our mental frames, how we have been programmed to believe in the myth of corporate power, and how we can, instead, dispel the helplessness and hopelessness we have been trained to feel, and bring our true power forth. Through her Small planet mission Anna teaches people that they need no longer disparage their actions as “mere drops in the bucket.” Once we’re able to see the “bucket,” we realize our drops are quite spectacular. Come; join us in this very timely conversation. You can purchase Anna’s most recent book, Diet for a Hot Planet: The Climate Crisis at the End of Your Fork and What You Can Do About It at Dr.Miller Recommends Amazon Store.

Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #160 begins with Mariam's beautifully simple and hopeful ode to imminent spring, "Aphrodite Rising", expressed with a sprightly vocal and ukelele from Mariam and Bob Sherwood's percussion. A lovely spacious piece that represents the soul of simplicity. Next up is the equally bright and lightly contemplative "Bulb Show- Delight For The Senses", a stream-of-consciousness impression from Mariam on the exquisite Smith College spring flower show, this year dedicated to and inspired by the painter Monet. Craig Harris joins us on congas as Bob moves to the piano for this suitably expressionistic piece, the climax of which finds Mariam moving to the native flute for some lovely shadings. "Jayku Bay Day Ho" follows as Mariam picks up the acoustic guitar for this serene, melancholy piece devoted to peace and serenity. This beautiful improvisation picks up a pleasing tension as Mariam provides a devotional commentary on the animals and the earth waking up from winter as Bob synthesizes the various movements into a final evocative coda. Following the break we return with the wide-open impressionism of the mystical "Let Your Life Flow", an electronically-treated raga that Craig drives hard to a summit of intensity. Mariam changes the shading of this improv with the kalimba and we move into "Chippy" a pretty, childlike story of a chipmunk of Singing Brook before signing off on episode 160 of the Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour".
