What Does Jesus Do? Children’s Book by 10-year old Madison Whitlock
Joining Madison is her mom Marian, brothers Caden & Jordan
Madison’s book, What Does Jesus Do? is the second Whitlock CREW story.
Madison has always enjoyed the beauty of the world and is very curious about how things grow.
She is very inquisitive about WHO created all of what she sees.
Let’s go on a journey as Madison finds out who really created the world in What Does Jesus Do?Colorful illustrations and activity pages accompany this story.
Madison loves to ask her Mommy all kinds of questions. She is a fun and lively 9-year-old who loves writing, reading, and drawing unicorns. She also loves to play soccer and basketball with her twin brother, Jordan, and her older brother, Caden. Maddy taught herself how to play the guitar and wants to learn the drums next. She also loves to dance and sing.
Caden Christian Whitlock lives with his family in Leesburg, Georgia. Caden has brothers, his twin, Cody, who is in Heaven with Jesus, Jonathan Jr., Dondre, and Jordan. He also has a sister, Madison. Caden’s parents are Marian and Jonathan Whitlock.
At the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, Marian didn’t know what she would do with all four of her children going to a virtual learning format for the rest of the school year. One morning, she placed a big assignment on the dining room table that read, “Since we are all home, you all will each write a book.” Of course, they all just shook their heads, “seriously, Mom?”
But, they all began to write and talk, write and talk. Through all the writing and talking, and whining, each child created their own story. Marian edited their writings and also asked them to draw pictures for each book. Once it was all said and done, she entered each child’s writing into a contest. No prizes were given, but they all felt accomplished having completed a book.
Caden came to Marian one day and said, “I want to share my story with everyone. It makes me feel good to know that Cody is in a safe place with Jesus.” Caden had a twin brother, Cody, who passed away during pregnancy, two months before Caden was born. Caden always wanted to know where his brother was and what he was doing. His story is about his journey to find his brother and who he meets along the way.
Caden C. Whitlock is a motivated, energetic Fifth Grader with a heart of gold. He enjoys school and loves playing and watching soccer. Caden has brothers, his twin, Cody, who lives in Heaven with Jesus, Jonathan Jr., Dondre, and Jordan. He also has sister, Madison.
Caden’s book, The Case of the Missing Baby, is the first Whitlock CREW story.
Caden and Madison’s parents are Marian and Jonathan Whitlock. The family lives in Leesburg Georgia.

Girls Play Football Too! By Jeria ‘Ace” Arthur
In Ace’s words:
I am a professional football player. I play in the WFLA, an elite-pro full tackle league coming later this year for the Atlanta Amazons. I grew up wanting to play football my entire life and signed to play pro last year. I am the owner of Ace Athletics, a New Health and Wellness building/gym in Conyers GA that includes a braiding bar, a gym, and offers many other services serving as a one-stop health and wellness shop! I am a mother with two amazing children who are also incredible athletes. I recently wrote a children’s book called “girls play football too,” which highlights a little girl who plays quarterback on a quest with her little brother to prove that girls can also be football players.
I wear many hats and often times struggle with time and schedules… having to focus on many things. My daughter is an all American softball pitcher.l, and my son is also an elite athlete. They also have a strenuous athletic schedule with practices and tournaments. It can be very overwhelming with my own football practice while still running a business and being a mother.
“There is no limit to what you can achieve” success to me means no boundaries and no limits.
Jayah is 11 years old and is in the 5th grade. She is an All American Softball Pitcher. Jayah spends most of her free time playing softball with the aspirations of playing pitcher at LSU (Louisiana state University) one day! her favorite color is blue and she wants to play Softball for team USA one day, along with being a Doctor!
Jayce is 7 years old and is in the 2nd grade. He is a star quarterback and spends most of his free time playing sports including travel baseball and basketball. His favorite color is blue and he has hopes to make it the NFL one day, along with becoming a veterinarian!

Funding requests are reviewed by committee 3 times a year - February 1st, June 1st and October 1st.Applications received after a review date will be considered at the next consecutive review date. All committee decisions are final. While we aren't able to grant every funding request, we do our best to set our dyslexic students up to succeed.

Cozys for the Cure with Jordan Phillips & Books N Bros Book Club with Sidney Keys III Co-Host 13yr.old Jordan Phillips Founder of Cozy for the Cure, as seen on NBC "Hi, I’m Jordan! I started making Cozy for the Cure products in 2015 to support my mom during her fight with breast cancer. I was just 11 years old when I started, but since then, I’ve raised more than $12,000 for the Susan G. Komen foundation. I’ve even been featured in a national awareness campaign, but the best part is knowing that I’m helping to fund programs that serve women where I live in Southeastern Ohio. Thanks to your purchase of this hand-made product, SEW are you!" Co-Host CNN Younger Wonder Sidney Keys III, Founder of Books n Bros Book Club 11 year old rising entrepreneur decided to take his love for reading to the next level and create Books N Bros LLC. Reading Club! Having multiple meet ups with different boys, ages 7-13 years old, he is paving the way for change. Books n Bros focuses on the bond of boys who are interested in reading African American literature that encourages Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy, Technology and more! Sidney started his own book club which he titled Books n Bros Book Club to make reading fun for boys particularly between 8-12 years old but we welcome within the reading level of 4th-6th grade. Boys, especially African American boys statistically stop reading within this age group and we wanted to combat that stereotype and encourage literacy within the young African American community. Sidney loves reading all genres of books like Grumpy Cat to Diary of a Wimpy Kid to books like the featured Danny Dollar: Millionaire Extraordinaire: Lemonade Escapade. We held his first meetup with his new reading friends Saturday, September 10th 2016 at the African American Childrens Bookstore EyeSeeMe. The owners agreed to open their space monthly to allow Sidney to encourage reading in the community. At the first meetup, Sidney had a successful turnout, fun music and even had the idea to host his own lemonade stand in light of the plot of the featured book. During this event not only did he make new friends, but he learned skills of leadership, public speaking and entrepreneurship. After finishing the first book, we hope that all of the readers learn the previous mentioned as well as financial literacy.
