Natasha Trenev, Developmental Scientist, Author, Educator and Speaker. Founder & President of Natren Inc.
Probiotic pioneer, Natasha Trenev, has significantly contributed to the evolution of the probiotics industry. Prior to her work in the field, consumers had very limited knowledge of the supplement and its many benefits. Natasha’s extensive experience and knowledge of the industry began with her family’s 750-year history producing the most beneficial yogurt prized by the royal family of Yugoslavia.
After graduating from UCLA in 1970, a decade of research led to Natasha’s development of the first revolutionary method of producing an effective and scientifically validated single strain probiotic bacteria product. Her efforts helped to establish the entire probiotics category in the world! https://www.natren.com/
Where it all Began:
1940 – My father was appointed the Official Court Supplier of Cultured dairy products by King Peter II of Yugoslavia. Early 1960’s – My father started a yogurt business, intent on producing the best natural probiotic yogurt in America. My family introduced natural Bulgarian style yogurt and liquid acidophilus to the American health food industry. 1970 – Natasha was the first to arrange refrigerated sections in health food stores to sell her family’s Continental Yogurt. The “MOTHER OF PROBIOTICS” Early 1980’s – Natasha Trenev introduced the term “probiotic” (which means “for life”) to the health food industry.

How I Transitioned My Trauma and Fear into Pure Love and Strength with Daisy Plaza
Daisy Plaza is a strong woman, mother of four children, and author. Daisy experienced trauma and violence in her home and community from an early age. Rather than letting this dampen her spirit, she used her experiences navigating trauma to help others on the front lines of the emergency room. In her writing, she shares her heartfelt stories of pain and healing to help others gain hope and strength.
Although her past may be haunting, she doesn’t let that get in the way of building relationships with new people. Her extroverted nature is welcoming, yet intense, drawing many people to her naturally.
Daisy spends her days now continuing to heal and live her best life. She loves to hang out with all her wonderful grandchildren and is always connecting with her children. Daisy loves a nice place to sit and enjoy a chai latte, as she pursues her passion for writing.
Book: I Did It for Her: From Trauma and Fear to Pure Love and Strength, author Daisy Plaza
Her final words were a promise I knew I had to keep.
I have to tell the story…MY story.
Pieces of me were stripped away leaving me damaged and broken.
Battle along with me as I struggle through a manipulative and abusive marriage while trying to maintain an unconditionally loving family.
Watch how I transition my trauma and fear into pure love and strength.
I had to.
It was the only way to be a supportive mother to my four children and show them how to be strong, even in the most unfortunate situations.
It’s time to take back the life that I so rightfully deserve, and I’ll show you how.
Daisy experienced trauma and violence in her home from a young age: abuse, gang membership, and intimate partner violence. She shares how she was able to leave behind trauma and focus on healing. https://www.amazon.com/Did-Her-Trauma-Fear-Strength/dp/B0D6CFJMV3

Walking by Faith: The Testimonies of God in My Life with Catherine Daniels
Bestselling author Catherine Daniels has spent a lifetime helping people restore their dark spaces within themselves with the gift of mercy and grace. Over and over people asked her, how can you have such a conviction for God when you have had nothing but heartache and trials? They told her she should not even be alive due to the adversity she faced. At five years old a divine angel of God presented to her that the love of God was stronger than the evil forces in her life. This life-changing moment redirected every step as she grew up. Take a glimpse into her faith and how God has shown up over and over in her life. How she has been used by God to show others the unfailing love he has. This book reaffirms that when a world sees brokenness, we all have something we work through, but we don’t do it alone. God is always there with us.
Catherine Daniels grew up with an unconventional childhood with her first memory being locked in a closet at three years old and the closet shelf collapsing on top of her head. She quickly learns that living with her grandparents after her parent’s divorce, would be one that she was to be “seen and not heard”. She spent most of her childhood playing in the woods to avoid “getting into trouble” as she plays with the toys mother nature provides, rocks and sticks. She was not allowed to watch much tv, have toys to play with, living in a borrowed life that consisted of using the house as a place to use the bathroom or eat meals. The temporary months quickly turned into years. As she grows up, people are intrigued with her fortitude and ability to live gracefully with compassion and peace. It is much later she realizes how in tune she is with nature and her ability to self heal turning inward to heal her traumas. Most people do not realize their own unique ability to heal themselves or how to tap into this ability, as they have been congested with information from society, their upbringings, consumerism, materialism, etc.
Catherine now brings us through healing of the pain through her podcast platform Retreat to Peace, as she also coaches people internationally helping them to see their true selves by tapping into their inner spiritual roadmap that all human beings innately have instead of running from it. Catherine is also an author, a speaker, business and soul coach.

Osteopenia and Osteoporosis in Women
Osteopenia and Osteoporosis are huge issues especially for Women. Unfortunately, the standard treatment in allopathic medicine are “bisphosphonates” (fosamax etc) Vast majority of the population is not aware of the long term damage of these drugs but virtually every health care professional will prescribe these with devastating consequences.

Brightn, a Mental-Wellness app for Young Adults that targets 3 areas of Optimal Mental Wellness with Jeff Johnston
In Jeff’s words: Brightn wasn’t a company I planned to start. While managing my investment firm and a happy family, my life turned upside down when my oldest son, Seth, died from Fentanyl poisoning in 2016, followed by my wife Prudence’s battle with alcohol. My journey through grief led me to realize that the true enemy was the mental health crisis affecting millions.
Jeff’s keynote presentations inspire, educate, and transform. Drawing from his expertise in mental wellness, he delivers impactful talks on personal and professional growth, resilience, and achieving a purposeful life. Attendees leave with actionable insights to enhance their well-being and boost productivity in their personal and professional lives.
The Book: On October 4, 2016, Jeff lost his son, Seth, age 23, to fentanyl poisoning. Recognizing his own addictions to alcohol and gambling, Jeff took a stand on December 24, 2017, and committed himself mental health advocacy. He launched The Undeterred Podcast in 2020 and founded The Choices Network, a nonprofit that promotes and encourages healthy lifestyle choices for teens and young adults. In September of 2020, he published his first book, This One’s For You: An Inspirational Journey Through Addiction, Death, and Meaning. But he wasn’t finished.
On June 29, 2021, Jeff lost his wife, Prudence, age 46, to alcoholism. Still undeterred and determined, on May 12th, 2022, he embarked on The Living Undeterred Tour, a 95-day, 20,000-mile odyssey across the United States to share stories and to find more ways to make a difference in people’s lives. In September of 2023, he launched Brightn, a mental-wellness app for young adults that targets three areas of optimal mental wellness — health, wealth, and purpose. The app is named for Brighton, Seth’s daughter, who was born three weeks after Seth died.
Jeff sold the investment company he founded at age 23 to focus on Brightn. He’s also part-owner of Tribute Kicks, a retail store and vintage clothing company in Coralville, Iowa, with his middle son, Ian. A percentage of the profits are donated to area mental wellness organizations. Jeff lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with his two sons, Ian and Roman.
On October 4, 2016, Jeff Johnston received the phone call that is every parent’s worst nightmare. In a single moment, their lives had changed forever. This One’s For You is the story of one family’s struggle through addiction and their journey to find inspiration and meaning in the loss of a son & brother. Heroin may have taken Seth at the young age of 23, but it wasn’t going to take the opportunity to continue his story. Were there warning signs with Seth we missed? Was the outcome preventable? Riddled with these questions, Johnston began a journey of self-evolution as he began to understand & shed light on substance abuse, addiction, and the Opioid epidemic. In the face of tragedy, Johnston and his family were able to turn their love of golf into a platform to bring awareness and honor Seth’s memory. Death, however inevitable, can be a springboard into a realm of compassion and goodwill for those it leaves behind. It is a poignant reminder of how brief the moments we have can truly be. This One’s For You is a dedication to every lost soul taken by the choke hold of addiction and a lifeline of hope to those who need the inspiration to fight the battle every day. Seth, this one is for you.

Love By Intuition with Deborah Beauvais: You Will Be Peter

You Will Be Peter with Jerry Lathan, Steve Manchester
The extraordinary story of a young fisherman who became the Founding Father of Christianity, the most influential and enduring institution in history.
He’s one of the most well-known figures in cultures around the world, etched into stained glass, painted in frescoes, even caricatured as standing at the gates of heaven with a long white beard and keys in hand. But long before he was portrayed as a venerated and untouchable figure, Peter was simply known as Simon, a twenty-something fisherman in a far-flung Jewish province controlled by the Roman Empire.
Loyal and faithful, impetuous and passionate, Simon’s quiet life is upended by the arrival of a man called Jesus of Nazareth, rumored to be the long-awaited Messiah who would rescue the Jewish people from oppression. When Simon meets Jesus, the mysterious man tells him, “You will be Peter,” a prophetic statement that would slowly transform Simon’s life. Eager to be free of the Romans, Simon joins Jesus in hopes that he can guard this leader who will, undoubtedly, build an army to challenge Rome. But as Simon waits for the army to form, he watches Jesus show a compassion for others Simon has never seen before. The miracles Jesus performs—healing the sick, feeding crowds of thousands—show not a display of military might, but of service and love.
Real, relatable and impeccably researched, You Will Be Peter draws on the four Gospel accounts to weave Simon Peter’s story into one seamless tapestry. Readers get a front-row seat to Simon’s three-year walk with Jesus, as Simon watches the Son of Man feed the hungry, raise the dead, upend the status quo and challenge the elite during one of world history’s most pivotal seasons.
In perhaps one of the greatest miracles, we can see ourselves in Simon, this ordinary man Jesus chose to accompany Him. Simon wasn’t well-educated, but he was faithful and headstrong. Though he could rush to judgment and use a foul word from time to time, he was the kind of friend who loved fiercely and was doggedly loyal—until he wasn’t. Although he failed, Simon wasn’t cast away from Jesus’ mission. In fact, his failures and subsequent redemption made him a more empathetic and capable rock upon whom the Church was built.
With storytelling artistry that transports readers to the first-century world, with the sights, sounds, and smells of that time, You Will Be Peter shares an age-old story told from a new set of eyes: it’s possible for one ordinary person, however unlikely, to change the world forever. https://www.youwillbepeter.com/
Jerry Lathan brings a wealth of knowledge in telling the remarkable story of Simon Peter. Combining his lifelong interest of history with a decade of research, Jerry has unearthed missing details on the evolution of Simon—the brash fisherman who became Peter. Over forty-plus years, Jerry’s national award-winning construction company has preserved and restored historic churches and other structures and national monuments. His deep interest in the lives of historic characters is central to his calling to author You Will Be Peter. From Jerry’s time as co-owner of Big Easy Studios in New Orleans where more than twelve major movies were filmed, he understands the incredible power of a good story. In this book, the culmination of his life’s work, Jerry shares the real and relatable story of Simon Peter, the very flawed man whom Jesus chose to build His church.youwillbepeter@gmail.com251.443.7663 (Monday-Friday)

Long Live Democracy! with Barbara Berger
It’s no secret that we are living through a very challenging time in human history where the whole world is experiencing so much conflict and the unfortunate but serious decline of democracy. We see and hear every day the tragic news from the US (where I was born and raised) as to the difficulty so many people are having when it comes to engaging in respectful, constructive conversations with each other. It seems to be increasingly difficult for many people to talk or debate with others respectfully, especially when they have different ideas as to how things can and should be done. Therefore, I believe nothing is more important in today’s world than that we all remind ourselves on a daily basis of the importance of the basic democratic principles upon which our societies here in the West are based. And that we continually ask ourselves how well we are doing (each one of us) when it comes to having respectful conversations and exchanges of ideas with our friends, family members and colleagues at work.
Once we understand that it’s just as important to practice the basic democratic principles in our families, couple relationships and other close relationships as it is to practice them in our society in general, the question arises as to how these democratic principles actually play out in our relationships in practice? In other words, most specifically and concretely, how do we talk, act and treat each other when democratic principles and respect are our starting point? I try to answer these very important questions about how to apply these basic democratic principles in our closest relationships in my latest book “Healthy Models for Relationships – the Basic Principles Behind Good Relationships With Your Partner, Family, Parents, Children, Friends, Colleagues and All the Other People in Your Life”. For more about the book, click here: https://beamteam.com/en/barbara/healthy_models.html
What do healthy relationships look like? Most of the difficulties we face on a daily basis have to do with our relationships – be it with our partners, families, children, parents – or with our friends, neighbors or colleagues at work. This is why most of us really want to know how we can best get along with other people. What do healthy couple relationships look like? What do healthy families look like? What are the characteristics of respectful, constructive conversations? How can we best navigate through the challenges we meet in our daily lives and disagree with our friends, colleagues and families in a respectful way without running away or going on the attack? Is it possible to speak respectfully and reach compromises which function for everyone involved? In short, what do healthy relationships look like? Barbara Berger’s answer to these important questions are her Healthy Models which describe what healthy relationships look like in practice. The value of these Healthy Models is that when we have clear models of how healthy behavior looks, we can then compare our own relationships to these models and identify what is not working in our relationships. And this can be a big help because then we can begin to work to improve our relationships. The book is packed with practical techniques and exercises.
About Barbara BergerAmerican-born Barbara Berger is the best-selling author of “The Road to Power – Fast Food for the Soul” (published in 30 languages), “Are You Happy Now? 10 Ways to Live a Happy Life” (published in 21 languages), “The Awakening Human Being – A Guide to the Power of Mind”, and “Find and Follow Your Inner Compass”. Barbara’s latest books include “Healthy Models for Relationships – the Basic Principles Behind Good Relationships With Your Partner, Family, Parents, Children, Friends, Colleagues and All the Other People in Your Life” and her autobiography entitled “My Road to Power – Sex, Trauma & Higher Consciousness”.
