Permission to Mourn A New Way to Do Grief
The death of someone we love cracks us open inviting us to become the person we were born to be.
This is the book Tom Zuba wishes he had read after his daughter Erin died. And after his wife Trici died. It’s the book he wishes he’d been handed following his son Rory’s death. But Tom had to live it. First. Before he could write it. For you. In the beginning, Tom did grief the old way. Repressing, denying, pretending, numbing and stuffing every feeling and every emotion that arose. He created pain on top of pain until he began searching for a new way. A new way to do grief. Once he gave himself permission to mourn, healing began.
Tom Zuba is a grief guide, author, life coach and inspirational speaker. His intention is to transform the way we “do grief” worldwide by sharing tools he’s gathered over the last 20+ years. In 1990, Tom’s 18-month-old daughter Erin died suddenly. His 43-year-old wife Trish died equally as suddenly on New Year’s Day 1999 and his 13-year-old son Rory died from brain cancer in 2005. Tom and his son Sean are learning to live a full, joy-filled life, one day at a time.
Tom appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show with best-selling author Gary Zukav, and currently writes a monthly column for CARING magazine. To learn more, visit www.TomZuba.com and follow Tom on Facebook and Twitter

Creating an Abundant Life, a Journey to Self Love
Hello from Johnna Andrea Tuttle. I am the President of Andrea’s Wellness Center formerly known as Andrea’s Home Heaven on Earth. I created my own business in 2007,with a name that would reflect the truth of what I discovered. Everyone has the power to create Heaven on Earth when they come to find peace within themselves. As a single mother raising four children on my own, I learned to create my own Heaven on Earth. After dedicating 5 years to my own healing journey, it had awakened a desire to share what I had learned. I was free from negative thought patterns. I learned to create new positive thoughts that brought an abundance of love, peace, joy, and riches of every kind. Healing begins in the HOME! I wanted other families to experience more peace and happiness in their relationships. I have dedicated my time, talents, and gifts to assist others to heal and awaken to the truth of who they are, to find inner peace, healing, and self-love.
I am the inspirational author of Celestial Marriage Reflections on Love and Faith. In the spring of 2013 my book was chosen for the Top 12 Pick List on www.thespiritedwoman.com. Also, in 2007 I created and produced my first CD ” Discover Your Magnificence Affirmations.” In 2012, I created and produced another affirmation CD “Say Yes to the Good Things in Life.” This audio is available at cdbaby.com and Amazon. I am a Wellness Advocate for Doterra Essential Oils and vitamin supplements. I teach wellness classes on Women’s Health, Pain Management, Aroma Touch Technique, and Emotional Health. I offer special coaching packages for individuals that would like to join my team to promote health and well being through these life-changing products. I have been a Life Coach for the last 7 years and currently giving online workshops and personal coaching sessions through Skype and telephone. My online workshops teach how to be healthy, increase love in your relationships, create abundance, meditation, visualizations, and how to discover your soul’s purpose.
I have been on the radio since 2007. My first show was called “Wake Up to the Real You.” I started my new show “Celestial Living” in April of 2011 on blogtalkradio.com. I have a great passion for radio and enjoy sharing that passion with my guests. My listeners have followed me since 2007 and look forward to positive, motivating, and uplifting content. Another Amazing Conversation with ‘Co-Intelligence’ Founder Tom Atlee
The term “co-intelligence” refers to a shared, integrated form of intelligence that we find in and around us when we’re most vibrantly alive. It is also found in cultures that sustain themselves harmoniously with nature and neighbor. Co-intelligence shows up whenever we pool our personal intelligences to produce results that are more insightful and powerful than the sum of our individual perspectives.
Tom Atlee is founder, co-director, and research director of the non-profit Co-Intelligence Institute. His work focused on developing a society’s capacity to function as a wise democracy. Especially he explores the dynamics of Conscious evolution of social systems. His social change vision is based on wholeness and recognizes the value of diversity, unity, relationship, context, uniqueness and the spirit inside each of us and the world. In this intelligent and stimulating conversation, we will explore some of the ways we might, with collective intelligence, respond wisely to the challenges coming our way in the economic collapse our culture seems committed to. We will explore some of the ways we can use the elements of the crumbling system to evolve a new one that can serve humanity better. Individual and collective intelligence must evolve together, Tom points out – otherwise we could end up with another system like the present one that punishes diversity.
Ten thousand years ago human beings evolved a set economic, communication, and governance structures that have not changed. But the world has changed dramatically (e.g., we live in cities of thousands and millions instead of scattered tribes of hundreds). The systems that were good for responding to the news that Mary fell into the well are grossly inadequate to respond to challenges like global climate change and the accumulation of toxic wastes in our environment and in our bodies.
Conscious, as Tom points out, creates social systems, and social systems create consciousness – so we need to discover what changes need to be made in our consciousness in order to evolve the systems we need. To deal with the problem of sick children, a medical team is only part of the answer – we need to deal with the poverty, war, and pollution that are part of the system that is creating them. Instead, we sit riveted as Siamese twins are flown to the US to be separated – and leave untouched the toxic wastes flowing into their community creating ongoing deformities. Collective Stupidity!
Public wisdom is what we need, and it comes from diverse views in conversation (as opposed to our current Congressional food fights). We need access to the full spectrum of information – this is the key to Collective Intelligence. Our individual uniqueness is needed to enhance the collective, and the collective to enhance the individual. How different from the stupidity of our current culture of groupthink! Check out this illuminating and inspiring conversation. There is a growing community, local and online, of people who recognize that we need to be building for the future. Learn more here and at the Co-intelligence Institute website, which offers more than 1000 pages of fascinating free resources.

The Gaea Star Crystal Show

Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #165 features the core Gaea Star Band trio along with the always-appreciated vocal and percussion stylings of Sondra Lewis. We begin with the sweet improvised air “Onawanaweyanamahey” with Mariam Massaro on vocals and marimba, Craig Harris on congas, Bob Sherwood on piano and Sondra on vox and guiro. Mariam picks up the native flute for the beautiful, subdued “Above The Clouds”. After the break we ease into Mariam’s “Celebrate The Day” with a driving improvised groove featuring a driving rhythm driven by shaker and handclaps. A circular, Beatle-esque series of chords from Bob punctuated by explosive blues licks reorients the piece into an anthemic tribal rock jam, then a ska groove, then an airy ballad, coming to rest in a lustrous series of countermelodies from Mariam and Sondra atop exploratory, tranced-out piano and relentless conga rhythm. “Shining Star” is a hypnotic, disquieting musical poem to the night sky.
