Removing Negativity~ exquisite primordial music designed to be the emanation of a a powerful mandala that removes negativity in the Taoist tradition. This mandala was etched onto a moss agate/Apache Tear obsidian quartz crystal singing bowl. This bowl was the foundation of a project to create music that could clear and strengthen the bioenergetic field. When a mandala is etched onto a bowl, the intention of the mandala is amplified within the sound. Thomas Barquee has blended keyboard, percussion and guitar to the celestial sounds of the bowls to create a powerful soundscape that clears and uplifts as well as increases calm and serenity.
Leigh Ann Phillips is an award-winning singer songwriter and sound healing educator. She is on a mission to merge sound and music to assist people in leading more fulfilling lives in healthier bodies. Her work is taking her all over the world and back again.
Leigh Ann has developed a method of brainwave entrainment through the use of her voice and the quartz crystal singing bowls. It is a form of sound healing based on research on the brain as well as the musical system called the Circle of Fifths. The purpose of the work is to help people release emotions from the body, as well as raise the level of health and well being physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. She has developed a method of shifting and slowing the brain states, allowing people to not just relax but release emotional blocks that are allowing dis-ease in the body. Her method incorporates the use of the quartz crystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, tingshaws, harp, piano, herbal medicine as well as her voice. Using mantras in languages such as Sanskrit, Enochian and Aramaic, Leigh Ann incorporates ancient mantras and prayers to enhance the power of the sound. This method actually places the bowls on the person, so the person is receiving not just music and sound, but also vibration.
Her passion is to assist people in building an awareness of consciousness to the mind, body and spirit. Some people would call this allowing sound and music to be a bridge to the soul.
Since her move to Hawaii, Leigh Ann has been bringing sound healing and the music of the quartz crystal singing bowls into the mainstream. She has given demonstrations and sound healing sessions most recently in Taiwan, the Hawaiian Islands, at the Gem Exhibit at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C, as well as at a Playboy event in the Los Angeles area. She has also made television and radio appearances on various health, and lifestyle programs in Hawaii, New York, Massachusetts, Colorado, New Mexico, as well as the Orient. The sound and the music have merged, and Leigh Ann’s passion for life has sounded into a path where music can bring not just beauty, but health, peace and the evolution of the soul.
Leigh Ann’s latest recorded album release, Mik’ael (2013), is a musical tapestry of mantras, sung in the Enochian language, accompanied by quartz crystal singing bowls and world instruments. Mik’ael is a musical collaboration with writer and producer, Thomas Barquee, recorded at Zenden Studios in California. Ideal for yoga and meditation, Mik’ael is a healing offering to the Archangel Michael, and all that is peaceful in nature and ourselves. Her next recording project will be spoken word, co-created again with Thomas Barquee. She is also the Executive Director of The Shimmering Sounds Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to bringing sound healing as a complimentary therapy to the masses. The foundation has given hundreds of free sessions to people that could not normally afford holistic health sessions.

David Christopher author of a Nautilus Silver award winning book, The Holy Universe: A New Story of Creation for the Heart Soul and Spirit. The Nautilus award is the most prestigious book award in transformational literature. He describes the reason for writing The Holy Universe and says: “Like so many people who left the faiths of their youth, as an adult I yearned to believe in something. But as the religious interpretations of the scriptures proved deeply unsatisfying to me, so too, did the cold, factual stories of modern science fail to speak to my spirit. I struggled with being in an unjust world seemingly bent on ecological self-destruction. I craved spiritual direction that encompassed more than self-help, a story that could help me create meaningful work for myself that made a difference in a world of mass extinctions, deep injustices and spiritual poverty

Childhood Molestation to Healing Spirit to Sassy Shoes~ A Conversation with Margot Silk Forest
About 20 years ago my then 11-year-old daughter said to me in that oh-so-innocent way kids can do, “Daddy, when I look in the faces of grown-ups sometimes I see a very sad child. Isn’t there something we can do to help them?” How could I possibly say no to her?
The outcome of that conversation was the CD entitled Inner Child Healing. It’s goal was to speak to that child within coming to give its support, comfort, love, and healing. What was unique about this program compared to all the others I have done, was that it not only included guidance into a state of deep relaxation, once the listener reaches that state of relaxation they hear the voice of my daughter speaking directly to the inner child: “I am a child, like you, and I know how sad you can be…”. Our idea was that instead of hearing an adult speaking to the inner child, the listener’s inner child might be more open to hearing the voice of another child.
Childhood molestation creates some of the largest amount of inner trauma and PTSD. Therefore I included Margot Silk Forrest on this program. Margot was sexually molested by her father, from her infancy until she was 12 years old. Her recovery involved work in EMDR with Francine Shapiro, following which, she began to edit a newsletter, The Healing Woman, for women who had been molested as children. Margott Silk Forest is a writer, an editor, and a creator of wearable art. She has written and co-written numerous books, including her first, A Short Course In Kindness.
Long ago, back in 1990, when the psychotherapeutic professions had little awareness of the extent of sexual molestation and abuse of children, Margot Silk Forest happened to do a retreat at Thich Nhat Hanh at his Plum Village Center in France. Following this, she began to have strange dreams. A psychiatrist suggested that she simply follow these dreams, and they began to lead to flashbacks to sexual molestation extending over 10 years of her childhood.
Margot came from a family with a loving alcoholic mother, an inspiring and loving brother who could always make her laugh, and a highly ethical Philadelphia lawyer of a father who began molesting her in her infancy. In this sensitive and moving episode, Margot shares her experience on discovering the truth about her early life, her work in creating the enormously successful newsletter, The Healing Woman, and the message that emerged from her years of publishing this incredibly useful periodical. She shares what she learned and the important messages that emerged, and why it was important that the hundreds of contributions from readers all end on a positive note in this little pink publication.
You will also learn how Margot has found deep happiness in her life and how she now serves as a guide for people who have wonderful things to offer the world – enabling them to translate their ideas into words and books, to bring them into written form. Finally, you’ll find out about her latest venture, painting shoes! How important it is to take something old and make it new and beautiful. You also get a chance to experience a segment from Inner Child Healing. Enjoy this episode now.

We begin with Mariam’s “Faces In The Fire”, a tribute to the flames and to the full moon. “Catch Me If You Can” is another new one from Mariam that shades from light to dark and features Dameron’s kalimba before he moves to mandolin for the second movement. “Inspiration” features a lengthy instrumental that brings in jazz and Afro-Cuban flavors from Bob and Craig and reaches a driving climax that brings us to the break. We return with the beautiful and sedate “Sailing On The Coast Of Maine” a travelogue from Mariam and Dameron’s recent sailing adventure with Mariam on acoustic guitar. “2 Moons In August” is a delicate celebration of the blue moon from Mariam that has a mystical flavor and features sensitive mandolin work from Dameron and mesmerizing piano minimalism from Bob. Part Two is an instrumental reiteration and has Craig moving to the marimba, Mariam to the celtic harp and Dameron to the Didjeridoo for a cyclical, hypnotic theme. Mariam picks up her native flute to play us beautifully out amidst touches of electronics and sweeping washes of piano.
