The Gift of Our Compulsions, Our Core Compulsion is To Struggle
Mary O’Malley is an author, teacher and counselor whose work awakens others to the joy of being fully alive. Her inspired and transformative approach to compulsions offers a way to replace fear, hopelessness and struggle with ease, well being and joy.
Barely surviving her childhood, at 26 she found herself lost in a labyrinth of self-hatred, confusion, and despair. Then one spring morning she walked into a room where Joel Kramer was to teach a hatha yoga seminar. As soon as he began to speak, Mary became intensely alert and deeply fascinated. As she listened to what he had to say, it felt like her life had been lived inside of a b-grade, black and white film, and all of a sudden it became a full color, four star movie. She felt vibrant and alive, curious rather than reactive, compassionate rather than judgmental, and trusting rather than fearing. Even though the years of living in deep despair were very painful, they all now made sense. In fact, all of the joys and sorrows, the clarity and the confusion, and the openings and closings of life made sense. Although she returned to ordinary consciousness when she left the room, this awakening continued to work in the depths of Mary’s being, setting her on the path to changing her whole relationship with her compulsions, freeing her from a lifelong struggle and opening her to the joy and the wonder of being fully awake to Life.
Since then, she has dedicated her life to helping others heal themselves by seeing what truly blocks them from life’s joy. Through her individual counseling and coaching, books, classes, retreats and ongoing groups, Mary invites people to experience the miracle of awakening.
Acknowledged as a leader in the field of Awakening by many (including Neale Donald Walsch, Jeff Foster, Tara Brach, Jack Kornfield, Stephen Levine, and Christiana Northrup), Mary clearly sees both the big picture-and the details-of human patterns and conditioning. She possesses an extraordinary ability to understand and connect with people. And she is skilled in empowering people to work with difficult mind states resulting in greater inner awareness and presence and a greater capacity for joy.
Mary is committed to helping people heal their inner wars, so that they can become a part of the healing of our planet. Eckhart Tolle says, “Thank you, Mary, for your contribution to the evolution of human consciousness.” Mary’s work has also been endorsed by Neale Donald Walsch, Christiane Northrup, Jeff Foster and other spiritual teachers and authors.

Non-Toxic Cancer Treatment: A Conversation with Dr Erik Peper
Dr. Erik Peper, Ph.D. and I worked as colleagues in the pioneering San Andreas Health Council in Palo Alto CA back in the early days of Holistic Medicine. He is an international authority on biofeedback and self-regulation.In this lively conversation we will explore some of the latest discoveries in biofeedback and tools for self-healing. In a world where our health care system is actually a “sick-care” system that requires us to be ill in order to function Dr. Peper focuses on the inner potential we all have to respond to disease and illness.
We will explore some of the powerful ideas in his latest book, Fighting Cancer: A Nontoxic Approach to Treatment, written with Robert Gorter, MD. The model presented here is science based, and appears to be effective, humane, nontoxic, and stunningly successful for a wide range of cancers. Supporting the immune system to fight cancer from within is critical to complete care for the patient, and Fighting Cancer encourages millions to take action and restore hope.” If you, your patients, or any of those you love are dealing with cancer, this is an excellent opportunity for discovery, and to enjoy Dr. Peper’s always spellbinding presentation. If you haven’t yet encountered cancer in your life or community, this is an excellent way to prepare to deal wisely with its challenges.
Dr. Peper is Professor and Co-Director of the Institute for Holistic Healing Studies at San Francisco State University. He is President of the Biofeedback Foundation of Europe and past President of the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback. The Gaea Star Crystal Show with Mariam Massaro

Friday Oct 02, 2015
"Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #183 begins with the lazy, hazy strains of Mariam’s “Sunshine Drenched Day” played by the Gaea Star Band with Mariam on vocals and baritone ukelele, Craig Harris on marimba and Robert Sherwood on piano. Recalling a hypnotic summer reverie, the piece drifts from theme to theme like a bee to flowers before coming to rest on a lovely, energized piano figure. We drift into “Waiting For The Moon To Shine”, another drifting, hazy piece that rises up around a never-changing piano ostinato from Bob, and features another beautiful celebration of summer from Mariam. A cunning series of reharmonizations from Bob turn this pretty piece in on itself one last time and we float away as if on the mist. To celebrate the life of Wayne Dyer we offer “Intention”, a new song from Mariam that binds a veiled and hypnotic groove from Craig on congas and Bob on piano to Mariam’s inspiring requiem. A disciplined, Minimalist cycle yields to wild exploration and a gradually quickening pulse until we restate the original theme with gypsy-jazz abandon and conclude on a conspicuously grounding major. After the break we return with “Along the Conway River” and quickly leave grounding majors behind in a swirling, harmonically ambiguous miasma of driving sound that gathers to storm intensity around Mariam’s drop-D acoustic guitar. We settle into an electronically treated raga, a musical cloud covers the sun and the maelstrom gathers into an echo-laden piano that leads the way slowly back to the sunshine. A haunting native flute solo from Mariam introduces a shift into a breathless minor samba until the inevitable drift into the distance. We conclude with Mariam’s pretty, playful “Aloha Summer”, an island-soaked and ukelele-driven song that powers along with Craig and Bob on congas and marimba respectively."
