All kinds of memories surface from the past: parents who, having been abandoned with children by their partner, found the energy and spirit to bring up a family; people who had a financial crisis, suffered failure or betrayal; who became unemployed at a late age; who had a serious illness; who discovered their son or daughter was alcoholic or addicted to gambling; who faced the plight of emigration, or the loss of a loved one. Yet it was precisely in such dire situations that these people brought out their best: their resilience and courage, their practical intelligence, and above all their inner strength. They felt a flow of warm, powerful energy that allowed them to emerge from the crisis stronger and more alive. As the Latin saying tells us, Per aspera ad astra. Through hardship we reach the stars.

The 52: Discovering the True You in 52 Simple Lessons
Deanne Mincer’s teachings are grounded in the steadfast belief that each of us is the Light of Eternal Life and Love and that we can come to know the Truth while in this lifetime.
In concert with her beliefs, she has authored The 52: Discovering the True You in 52 Simple Lessons – Inspired by the Profound Truths of A Course in Miracles, Classic Yoga Texts, and the Mystical Poetry of Rumi and has created “Divine Love: A Unique Yoga Nidra Experience, ” in collaboration with Sacred Acoustics. This groundbreaking recording brings together for the first time, the powerful meditative guidance of Yoga Nidra (sleeping meditation) with the consciousness altering sounds and tones of Sacred Acoustics.
Deanne is an inspiring speaker on the subject she likes best, learning to love yourself in every moment of your life. Her talks are filled with meaningful quotes, personal stories, and demonstrations on muscle testing and clearing negative belief systems, as well as humor, joy and fun. She sees every person as the Light of Fivine and Eternal Love and wants to share this vision with you. Deanne has been a long time student of spiritual studies. For many years, she was a practitioner of yoga and in the late 1980’s she was drawn to share her enthusiasm by becoming a yoga teacher. Her certification, from the Himalayan Institute, was a comprehensive two year program including the study of anatomy, diet, nutrition, Ayurvedic medical practices, the methods of teaching hatha yoga, the science of breath and the study of raja (the royal path of yoga) philosophy.
She has taught yoga, meditation, and spiritual classes for more than twenty-five years. In the mid 1990s, she experienced a spiritual awakening called shaktipat and her teachings took on a new and freshly informed understanding. This was the beginning of many mystical transformations that were brought about from guru’s and teachers, both in their bodies and out, and by ascended masters of the highest order. These involved signs, manifestation, and messages that emerged from unlikely sources.

Love in the Age of Ecological Apolcalypse- Given the daunting, dire predicament in which we find ourselves on this planet, what is described by social critic James Howard Kunstler as a “Long Emergency” may in fact become a “Last Emergency” for humanity. Whether we encounter a “long” or a “last” emergency, Carolyn Baker seeks to offer inspiration and guidance for inhabiting our remaining days with passion, vitality, empathy, intimate contact with our emotions, kindness in our relationships with all species, gratitude, open-hearted receptivity, exquisite creations of beauty, and utilizing every occasion, even our demise, as an opportunity to invoke and “inflict” joy in our world. Love in the Age of Ecological Apolcalypse addresses an array of relationships in the Last Emergency and how one’s relationship with oneself may enrich or impede interactions with all other beings. http://www.carolynbaker.net/

Co-Host Cook Time Remmi Smith
"The only thing that keeps you from getting success is yourself. If you don’t go after it, if you don’t take a step forward, you’re just taking two steps back because you’re really not doing anything.”
— Remmi Smith, 14, of Tulsa, who has published a cookbook and has a line of Italian salad dressing at some local supermarkets.
Cook Time with Remmi started out with my mom and I having some fun and filming me cooking in our kitchen. We put up a website and started airing the segments. Concerned about the childhood obesity epidemic we wanted kids to see that cooking is fun. Eventually a local cable channel started airing the cooking segments multiple times a week. This led to a second cooking series,”The Culinary Kid” and we partnered with Oklahoma State University Arts Program (OSUIT) to create a show where Remmi learned cooking methods that are similar to the ones the students at the OSUIT Culinary Program learn.
Things were pretty low key until 2012, I was named “Student Ambassador for Health and Wellness” for Sodexo Education. This led to my first contract, and in June I got my first paycheck! As the ambassador, I get to work with Sodexo’s 500 executive chefs giving them a kids perspective on nutrition. My recipes are served in all of Sodexo’s schools in North America. I am the face of their “Fresh Pick” Program and I have created 3 cooking series for them which airs daily in the cafeterias in front of 3.5 mmillion students!

A Conversation with Elisa Parker ‘See Jane Do’
This year’s theme for International Women’s Day is “Inspiring Change,” and in keeping with that, today’s guest is a superhero when it comes to inspiring women to discover their personal purpose and passion, and to bring that passion into action in the world. Elisa Parker is the co-founder, president & host of the award winning radio program, See Jane Do, and where she shares her wisdom, experience, and guidance serving women, social justice, and the environment.
In today’s episode we explore some of the roots of the enormous sexual inequality in our society, and how to change our story, personally and collectively, to transform our world. And transforming it desperately needs. Elisa will explain the media platform she has developed precisely to help awaken and support women through an online magazine, her weekly radio show on KVMR, the Passion Into Action Conference, and more.
Elisa also shares with us her own story, and the deeply moving passion that awakened her to her purpose. With degrees in Communications and Organizational Development, she is ideally prepared to serve this purpose, which takes her around the world to discover and share the extraordinary stories & solutions in each of us.
As you will learn, until a few thousand years ago the essential wisdom of the feminine was the central organizing principle of essentially all communities and cultures. The invention of powerful weapons made it possible for man to create a new kind of culture, one built on domination and subjugation. Now instead of honoring the needs of the earth and the balance of life, armed hoards could invade, steal food, rape, and enslave. The era of the sky gods and the masculine/dominant paradigm had begun. The resulting destruction of the planet and its peoples is obvious, from the killing fields of Syria to the sex slaves in San Francisco.
The world is changing faster than ever before, and we are reaching a crisis point. The complexion of our nation is changing, and the Old Paradigm is crashing. The best future is one that is informed and guided by the wisdom that women can bring out of the shadows and into the open – the wisdom of Love, nurturance, conversation, and peace. Bring it on!

Love, Medicine, Miracles And Bernie Siegel: A Conversation With Bernie Siegel
Our guest for this episode is Dr. Bernard Siegel—or Bernie, as he prefers to be called. Our conversation will center on the healing potential in human beings, how the mainstream medical system fails to recognize or to utilize it, and how what Bernie calls the “Unconscious Mind” already knows the future. This is a fascinating and illuminating exploration with one of the true pioneers of Mind-Body Medicine.
Especially interesting is the way Bernie uses the drawings of patients to help with diagnosis, understand how the person is experiencing his illness, and help activate the healing power. As a physician who has cared for and counseled innumerable people whose mortality has been threatened by illness, Bernie embraces a philosophy of living and dying that stands at the forefront of the medical ethics and spiritual issues our society is grappling with today.
Bernie sees his patients as his teachers, and shares many of the things he has learned from them. As a storyteller, Bernie is unequaled, and through the dozens of stories he tells here you will get a real sense of how each of us can activate our healing potential and an understanding of why, with a lifetime’s wisdom and experience, he trusts in miracles more than ever. Listen and enjoy this thoroughly engrossing show!
