The Annunnaki Chronicles: Janet Sitchin
What if the tales from the Old Testament and other ancient writings, such as those from Sumer, Babylon, Egypt, and Greece, were not myths or allegory but accounts of actual historical events? Known for his ability to read and interpret ancient Sumerian and Akkadian clay tablets, Zecharia Sitchin (1920-2010) took the words of our most ancient ancestors as fact and, through decades of meticulous research, showed that they revealed a coherent narrative about the true origins of humanity and civilization. Drawing both widespread interest and criticism, his Earth Chronicles series of books, beginning with The 12th Planet, detailed how humanity arose after the arrival of the Anunnaki (“those who from Heaven to Earth came”), alien “gods” who created modern man in their own image and imparted gifts of civilizing knowledge.
Zecharia Sitchin (1920-2010), an eminent biblical scholar and internationally acclaimed author, grew up in Palestine, where he acquired a profound knowledge of modern and ancient Hebrew, other Semitic and European languages, the Old Testament, and the history and archaeology of the Near East. A graduate of the University of London with a degree in economic history, he worked as a journalist and editor in Israel for many years prior to undertaking his life’s work: The Earth Chronicles. Janet Sitchin, niece of Zecharia Sitchin, served as her uncle’s lecture assistant at his many seminars and is the webmaster for www.sitchin.com A data-integration expert with a degree in computer science, she lives outside Miami, Florida.

Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #212 is recorded live at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, Massachusetts. Today, Mariam Massaro, Craig Harris and Bob Sherwood of The Gaea Star Band welcome very special guest singer/songwriter and feelings detective Josh Cole. Josh presents some of his compelling work as well as joining the Gaea Star Band in a series of beautiful songs and improvisations. Today we begin with Mariam’s mystical song “Voices In The Rain” featuring a mysterious lyric from Mariam decorated with her lovely native flute and acoustic twelve-string and vocals from Josh. The pretty, hymnlike “Emeraldina On The Rocks” follows, featuring a fine vocal and more flute from Mariam and a series of descending piano motifs from Bob. Next up the Gaea Star Band back up Josh Cole as he sings his “Always Only Air”, a spacious, bluesy ode to growth with a fine, affecting vocal and incisive additions from the band. “Always Only Air” grows into a gorgeous improvised coda called “Never Give Up”. Without pause we continue into Mariam’s driving “We’re All The Same” featuring counter vocals from Josh and an imaginative piano framing from Bob. More blues follows with “Everyone Needs Room To Grow”, powered along by Josh’s 12-string and Craig’s steady conga track as well as relentless R&B piano from Bob. “Sing In The Morning/We All Have To Get Along” is an inspiring folk song from Mariam and features a beautiful duet between Mariam and Josh as well as an imaginative recasting of JS Bach’s “1812 Overture” from Bob on piano

The Worry Solution - A Conversation with Marty Rossman MD
Our guest is Professor Martin Rossman, whose work has paralleled mine for several decades, during which time we have been colleagues and friends.
There seems to be so much to worry about these days – from global warming and peak oil to our children’s schools, our jobs, and even whether the food we eat has been contaminated – it seems impossible to predict what will come next.
If you’re one of the people who worries about any of the concerns I just mentioned – or about your teenage kid, your job, your health, or what those people in Washington some folks call “idiots” are going to do next – then this is a show you would definitely be interested in.
Did you know that there’s good worry and bad worry?
Apparently nature has wired us to worry, and so Dr. Rossman explains in his book, The Worry Solution, that it’s futile to try to stop. The good news is that worry itself is a neutral function of our imagination — a reflection of the brain’s ability to look at a problem from many different angles and to identify different pieces of the puzzle. In this interview Dr. Rossman will share the difference between good worry and bad worry, and tell us how to use worry effectively, that is how to worry well!

The Changing Season with Author Steven Manchester
In Steven Manchester’s Words: After returning home from a difficult tour of duty in Operation Desert Storm in 1991, I stepped back behind the walls of a Massachusetts penitentiary where I battled each day as a prison investigator. Needless to say, there was great negativity in my life at that time, and very little opportunity to heal from my wartime demons (or pursue my dreams of being published). I finally decided to return to college to finish my degree in Criminal Justice. During one of the classes, my professor, Barry McKee, detailed police work, but barely touched on other topics. I finally raised his hand and asked, “As the criminal justice system is so vast, what about the courts, probation, parole – corrections?” Barry smiled and told me to see him after class. I thought I’d done it! In his office, Barry explained, “Except from the slanted perspectives of inmates, there’s no real written material out there on corrections, or prisons.” Barry smiled again and then dropped the bomb that would change my life forever. “If you’re so smart,” he said, “why don’t you write it?” It was the last push I needed to get writing. Nine months later, I placed the first draft of 6-5; A Different Shade of Blue (under the pen name, Steven Herberts) on Barry’s desk. From then on, I was hooked. I was a writer.
Under the pen name, Steven Herberts, I wrote in newspapers, magazines, and even penned two collections of poetry. Once I’d found my true voice, I began, The Unexpected Storm: The Gulf War Legacy; an emotional account of the Gulf War that would heal my soul, and the souls of other suffering veterans.
Today, 20 years later, I have been blessed with a beautiful family; my wife, Paula, and our four children–Evan, Jacob, Bella and Carissa. From a professional perspective, I’ve written 16 books (with 12 in publication), and have contributed to more than three dozen international anthologies. My work has been showcased in such national literary journals as Taproot Literary Review, American Poetry Review and Fresh! Literary Magazine, as well as various magazines to include Angels on Earth, Obadiah, Titan, G.F.O. (U.K.), Skyline Literary, Alive Now, Dark Animus (Australia) and Spinnings Short Stories. Hundreds of my essays, poetry and short fiction have been contributed to Internet publications such as Zine5, New Mystery Reader, Wilmington Blues, Heartwarmers, The Murder Hole, Father’s World, and dozens of others.
My work has appeared on NBC’s Today Show, CBS’s The Early Show, CNN’s American Morning, BET’s Nightly News, Good Day Atlanta; in the New York Daily News, Newark Star Ledger, Boston Globe, Detroit Free Press, Providence Journal, Dallas Morning News, Orlando Sentinel, Pittsburgh Post Gazette, The Daily Oklahoman; and on 50+ nationally-syndicated radio shows from coast-to-coast.
As a public speaker, I’ve presented before thousands. From Congressmen to schoolchildren, my lectures cover the realities of the Gulf War, adult incarceration, and the motivation needed to write and become published. I currently teach the workshops, Publish: See Your Work In Print, and Writing Fiction That Sells.
