Overcoming Disaster
Stuff happens. Bad stuff. And the reason the phrase, “When it rains, it pours” exists, is because bad stuff seems to happen all at the same time. And it stinks! But don’t despair! Even when the train goes waaaaay off the tracks, even when you think you will never get back on track, you can still recover, and even be happy in spite of (or maybe even because of) your bad luck.
NO JOKE! Here is what Lora is dealing with RIGHT NOW. The MAIN sewer line, connecting her rental home into the city’s pipe collapsed, causing a sewage back up, as well as an astronomical repair bill, to replace the entire line. This happened the day after a water valve broke in her home, flooding her basement. Which happened right after the transmission went out, needing to be completely rebuilt, the dishwasher broke, the washing machine hoses sprung a leak, the hot tub heater went out, there were several family health concerns, AND her friend passed away. Honestly!
Through this ALL, Lora has learned four steps to dealing with disaster:
1) Find gratitude wherever you can.
2) Put your situation in perspective.
3) Realize what you can control, and what you can’t control.
You CAN control the RESULT of your disaster. Find the lessons learned and educate others through your loss. You have been given the gift of wisdom! Spread this newfound Love and Light!
4) Look for deeper meaning. What has this situation taught you? Is this situation a metaphor for something in your life? If everything happens for a reason, WHY did this happen to you? What can you NOW do with that knowledge?
Tune in to learn how you can use these four steps to help you deal with whatever misfortune comes your way!

Sunday Jan 21, 2018
Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #291 on a cold January night at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, Massachusetts. This hour we feature Mariam Massaro and Bob Sherwood of the Gaea Star Band and special guest, dynamic violinist Jennifer Leight. Mariam sings and plays native flute, acoustic guitar, ukulele and dulcimer and Bob plays piano and congas. We begin today with the mystical sweep of “Oh, Swing Wide”, a gorgeous song from Mariam draped in lovely violin accompaniment from Jennifer and gorgeous native flute lines from Mariam. “Tendrils Of Love” follows and is a lush ballad that melds a native melody to a soul chord progression from Bob and soars on wings of violin and native flute. “Another Cycle Has Begun (Tamaki Yaio)” is a Polynesian gypsy groove with grooving ukulele from Mariam and a fine conga backbeat from Bob. “Festival Of Lights” is a folk ballad built around Mariam’s chiming acoustic guitar and Jennifer’s circling violin. The mysterious “12 Roses At My Bedside” hovers around imaginative piano from Bob and questing violin from Jennifer and “The Way You Hold Me, Dear” is an eastern mountain groove propelled by Mariam’s dulcimer.

Sheryl Glick host of Healing From Within interviews Dr. Ardy Clarke author of Sky People- Untold Stories of Alien Encounters in Mesoamerica and her newest book More Stories of Star People. In listening to many accounts of indigenous people Dr. Clarke shows us that just because we choose to see certain realities doesn’t mean that other realities and life forms don’t exist. Sometimes it is simply in knowing all is possible if we can conceive of it ..moving past fear to greater truths, realizing with courage and an open mind that we can enhance our possibilities for personal growth.

Embracing the End of Life: A Conversation with Patt Lind-Kyle
Listen to this episode about embracing the end-of-life? Our natural reaction is to quickly flip to another page. But not so fast.
In our culture we deny what we don’t understand, and nowhere is this more obvious than in how we deal with yes and dying. We try very hard to pretend that it doesn’t exist, when our pretensions break down we do everything we can to delay death even if it means it living in a hospital bed with seven tubes entering and leaving our bodies, Then when it happens we’re all shocked and ripped apart.
One’s life changes when one begins to realize the death is a part of life– that in fact yes didn’t exist until life invented it!
Let me introduce you to Patt Lind-Kyle, a longtime friend of mine, who has boldly gone where a few have been willing to go, And has written an intensely needed book, Embracing the End of Life: A Journey into Dying and Awakening. In this conversation you will learn much about Pat’s incredible journey, her long periods of silence and meditation, in some of her remarkable discoveries about how we can learn from and have our lives profoundly enriched through following this entertaining and easy to read roadmap. Patt was trained as a hospice volunteer and served patients in the Hospice Hospital of Portland, OR and Hospice of the Foothills in CA. Patt confronted the deep fear of her own death in a long meditation retreat. This experience launched a study of the dying process in preparation for her own death (although she is in no way on the verge of leaving us), and by developing personal exploratory practices about death, Patt has defined the step by step process of dying including legal, caregiving and awakening processes. Have a listen…you won’t be disappointed.

Paul Selig: The Mastery Series
The channeled literature of Paul Selig--who receives clairaudient dictation from unseen intellects called the Guides--has quickly become the most important and celebrated expression of channeling since A Course In Miracles rose to prominence in the 1970s. Selig's previous trilogy of channeled wisdom--I Am the Word, The Book of Love and Creation, and The Book of Knowing and Worth--won a large following around the world for its depth, intimacy, and psychological insight. The first book of his new Mastery Trilogy, The Book of Mastery, likewise attained popularity and praise. Now, Selig continues the "Teachings of Mastery".
Paul Selig is considered to be one of the foremost spiritual channels working today. In his breakthrough works of channeled literature, I Am the Word, The Book of Love and Creation, The Book of Knowing and Worth and The Book of Mastery, author and medium Paul Selig has recorded an extraordinary program for personal and planetary evolution as humankind awakens to its own divine nature. Paul has the unique ability to step-into and “become” the people his clients ask about, often taking on their personalities and physical characteristics as he “hears” them telepathically.
