The movie workshop addresses the authority problem, which refers to believing in a world separate from the Spirit. This belief can lead to death, sickness, suffering, and pain, as well as ego rebellion. Jesus' teachings emphasize that we are guilty in time but guiltless in eternity. 
The movie workshop also highlights the importance of understanding oneself in the environment in which we were created, namely the Spirit. The cosmos and world are the ego's playing field, with our schedule like a football game. Moving closer to pure nonjudgment makes us feel like our life is not ours.
We are birthed in God, and we value the images of time and space less. As we forgive, we grow deeper into forgiveness and burst into laughter, resulting from inner joy and innocence. This journey toward spiritual awakening can be long and challenging, but the reward is beyond everything we can imagine.

"The Illusion of Unconscious Guilt: Exploring Forgiveness and Redemption" 
In this movie workshop, David discusses the concept of unconscious guilt and fear, which are deeply ingrained in the mind. Deep desires in the subconscious mind allow the ego to create a world of illusions and false evidence. This unconscious guilt can lead to blame, condemnation, and fault. 
Jesus emphasizes the importance of forgiveness, acceptance of atonement, and the impossibility of the ego's belief in separation. Jesus warns us that the world is a battle of masks, and to find peace, one must come above the battleground. This perspective sees the mind as One that cannot attack itself; then, the entire projected world is a hallucination of the belief in the attack. You have to believe in an attack before you can perceive it. "If you spot it, you got it." This is a cute way to remember that you perceive it if you believe it.

Beyond the Veil:  Exploring Love and Relationships with David Hoffmeister
In this talk, David Hoffmeister draws on Jesus’ teachings to illuminate the true nature of our existence. He emphasizes that we are not separate from our Creator but one Spirit, Christ.
David uses the movie “Chances Are” to take us into an experience of reality much beyond what we would call the everyday human experience. The real love of God is so far beyond human experience that we have only received glimmers, and the prayer remains: "Bring me a higher love." The movie commentary takes us beyond our limited definitions of love and relationship. It lifts us higher into a sense of the holy relationship: the connection with the divine and the holy instant. David is a mastermind guiding us toward a deeper understanding of love and relationships.

The Dismantling of the ‘I Know Mind.’
In his recent talk, David delves into the concept of atonement, emphasizing the importance of correcting our thinking and belief systems. He explains how our actions reflect our thoughts and how aligning our thoughts with God leads to enlightenment. 
David uses the term 'I know mind' to describe the ego's belief that it has all the answers. He illustrates this concept using figures like Gandhi, Freud and Einstein, often seen as symbols of wisdom and knowledge.
Jesus draws from various schools of thought when dictating A Course in Miracles, especially from psychology and psychiatry, with many of these concepts being based on Freud's work. By using symbols and teachings from various schools of thought, we can better understand the atonement process and the role of the mind in our lives.

A Collaborative Adventure
In A Course in Miracles, Jesus teaches us that the ego is not real and that there are no fundamental differences between men and women. The ego makes up differences, but it is a death wish and not real. Jesus emphasizes that we must learn to distinguish between the Holy Spirit's right mind and the ego's wrong mind, which have different purposes.
The ego creates images that are both unreal and imaginary. They are all illusions, and there is no hierarchy of illusions, no hierarchy in terms of good, bad, sexy, beautiful, ugly, intelligent, or stupid. To make differences real in our awareness, we must dream and dream of things God knows not about.
We often forget our eternal identity and become distracted by idols, such as the body, which is created to replace and take over our Christ self. This profound amnesia can lead to a world where we seek certain characters, like Lego characters, to become our saviors.
Christianity has been criticized for holding onto the belief in Jesus as a personal Lord and Savior, even though he lived 2,000 years ago. Jesus tells us that all these images projected from the ego are effects of an unreal cause and that the real cause is Christ, an idea in God's mind.
In the spiritual realm, everything is light extending light, love extending love, and eternity extending eternity. There is no beginning or end to creation, nor is there in eternity.
To experience the depth of today's movie, we need to read A Course in Miracles' section called "The Hero of the Dream," which discusses the complex nature of dualistic concepts and the difficulty in relationships. Jesus teaches us that the body is the central figure in the dreaming of the world, acting as if it were a person to be seen and believed.

The Illusion of the Ego - A Movie Commentary by David Hoffmeister
The movie 'Ruby Sparks' explores the need to release our interpretations of the distorted world of linear time, which is a result of the ego's trick of becoming accustomed to the world. The ego's illusions, known as Maya, are temporary and take the place of the light of eternity. Jesus is dismantling our linear perception of the world, requiring faith. The Bible and A Course in Miracles emphasize faith, as the prayer in our hearts takes us to God. Jesus teaches us that we are an idea in the mind of God and have not left our source. Mystics and saints have shown us that it is possible to live a life devoted to God and put our whole hearts into devotion. In the modern era, quantum physics emphasizes the connection between the material world and consciousness, emphasizing the importance of emptying our minds and focusing on the divine.

The Lure Promise of the Special Relationship
In January, David launched a new movie workshop series that will take place every other Saturday within the Tribe of Christ community. His first commentary features the 1989 film "Always" directed by Steven Spielberg. David delves into the themes of ego, special love relationships, and the pursuit of love and happiness. He emphasizes that seeking love in external objects or relationships will ultimately lead to disappointment and guilt. He reads quotes from A Course in Miracles and includes a quote and insights from spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle's wife, Kim Eng. The talk highlights the importance of releasing guilt and embracing perfect faith in oneself and in relationships. The story of Jesus and the woman caught in adultery is recounted, emphasizing the concept of Christ as pure innocence and eternal love. David delves into the nature of Christ, the body, and the ego, and the idea that the world is a projection and a hallucination. He discusses the fear of loss in relationships and the ego's attempt to join heaven through special relationships. The movie Mully, starring Charles Mully, is a powerful example of pray, listen, and follow. It unites us with the Holy Spirit, Jesus, and the Creator, focusing on our heart's desire to remember God. The movie takes place in Kenya's slums, highlighting the importance of prayer in achieving spiritual growth and Charles prays, receives, and follows inner messages and grows. 
Spiritual awakening often doesn't emphasize prayer, listening, and guidance, but to fully wake up from a dream, one must grasp the power of prayer and the power of the mind. We must believe in guidance, whether it’s as an inner voice, intuitions, or feelings. If we follow guidance, it leads to joy, presence, laughter, and giggles. The gifts of prayer, listening, and following stem from a deep connection with God and the power of the mind. If one has faith in prayer and is willing to give themselves wholeheartedly, everything unfolds from prayer, listening, and following.

David starts the Chautauqua by talking about the expanding prison ministry. The prisoners are a very receptive audience to the idea of innocence, and when they get released or paroled, they are ready to go and proclaim the good news.
The Holy Spirit, the spirit of joy, is the key to bringing these teachings to life. The mystical mind training program, which combines the teachings of the Course and Miracles into an audio-visual medium, has helped transfer the training. But the demonstration and action of these teachings are crucial, as they point to the moment of release and the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus said, "The kingdom of heaven is at hand," and we must continue proclaiming this good news of innocence. In Australia, they say, "No worries, mate," which is another version of the kingdom of heaven. This is not a denial but a more profound sense of happiness and joy. Our life is about demonstrating happiness, joy, and the blessing of eternal life.
