On this episode of the Make Mental Health Matter Show with host Kelli Melissa Reinhardt, with special guest Ellen Begaii.
Little bit about Ellen’s story from her:
Hi, I’m Ellen—an inspiration guide, artist, and advocate for helping people reconnect with the best version of themselves. After navigating my own path through pain, healing, and purpose, I created Mindful Pieces by Ellen—art and experiences designed to bring people back to balance, one mindful moment at a time. From paint pouring to mental health advocacy, I combine creativity, compassion, and a little bit of humor to support others in finding their own rhythm. My mission? To help people feel better in their bodies, inspired in their lives, and empowered to chase big dreams—like mine of hitting the road in an RV to share art and inspiration across the U.S.
Short bio:
Ellen is an inspiration guide, artist, and mental health advocate who helps people reconnect with their potential and rediscover balance through creative expression and mindful living. She is the founder of Mindful Pieces by Ellen, a brand that blends intuitive art with intentional living to support emotional wellness. Known for her paint pouring artwork and calming creations like Neck-Zen, Ellen's work invites others to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with what matters. She also leads classes and events focused on helping others get out of their own way and into a more empowered, joyful life. With a background in somatic practices and a heart for healing, Ellen’s mission is to spread positivity and purpose—one piece of art and one meaningful conversation at a time. She and her husband are currently working toward traveling the country in an RV to share their journey and inspire others through a YouTube channel.

Chaandani Khan: Resilience, Recovery, and Reforming Concussion Care
On this episode of the Make Mental Health Matter Show with host Kelli Melissa Reinhardt, with special guest Chaandani Khan.
Little bit about Chaandani’s story from her:
A concussion brain injury completely derailed my life 6 years ago. I went from being an outgoing person who worked, had a busy social life, volunteered, had hobbies and was physically active -- to a person who could no longer remember how to make a sandwich, nor follow basic conversations with ease. On a personal note, I know the strength it takes to find acceptance while still in the fire, and what it takes internally to rebuild your life with intention. On a professional note, going through this experience allowed me to identify key gaps in service and systems that patients face, and the demand for a new path forward. I am now an educator for medical and allied healthcare concussion practitioners and am focused on leading systemic change in the delivery of concussion care.
Short bio:
Six years ago a brain injury derailed Chaandani’s entire life, which left her navigating PPCS (persistent post-concussive symptoms) and an overwhelming amount of loss. Preparing a cup of tea, washing clothes and sending a single email became monumental challenges and her familiar, fast-paced lifestyle appeared impossibly far out of reach. Going through years of recovery appointments and eventually ingraining herself in the concussion space allowed her to identify key gaps in service and systems that patients face, and the demand for a new path forward.
Chaandani is now an educator for medical and allied healthcare practitioners who serve the concussion and PPCS population. She brings a wealth of knowledge gained through experience plus research, and is focused on leading systemic change in the delivery of concussion care.

Beatty Carmichael: Breaking Mental Health Barriers
On this episode of the Make Mental Health Matter Show with host Kelli Melissa Reinhardt, with special guest Beatty Carmichael.
Little bit about Beatty’s story from him:
I help people find real and lasting freedom from mental health struggles—like depression, anxiety, bipolar, PTSD, and more—by uncovering and removing the spiritual roots behind those issues. Using a science-based prayer process that works across all belief systems, I’ve seen a documented 90% success rate, often bringing full transformation in less than 24 hours. On the show, we’ll talk about how most mental illnesses aren't chemical or emotional, but spiritual in origin—and what happens when you address it at the root.
Short bio:
Beatty Carmichael is a mental health breakthrough expert and the author of The Prayer of Freedom, a how-to guide that reveals the spiritual roots behind many mental and emotional struggles. With years of experience in spiritual healing, he’s helped nearly a thousand people find freedom from depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, addiction, and more—often within 24 hours. His process is rooted in the science of spiritual laws, not religion, and has a documented 90% success rate. Beatty’s work bridges the gap between spiritual truths and psychology, offering a practical, step-by-step approach that works regardless of one’s beliefs. He’s been featured on over 70 TV, podcast and radio shows and is passionate about giving people real hope and proven solutions for healing.

Ambulances, Addiction, and a Mic — Von Sprecken’s Story
On this episode of the Make Mental Health Matter Show with host Kelli Melissa Reinhardt, with special guest Keith Von Sprecken in the studio.
Little bit about Von’s story from him:
Raised in abusive home, general trauma from modern life, got into drugs at a young age, got clean, and was in the hospital for suicidal ideation. Ended up working on an ambulance and made a big turnaround. However then I lost my brother to suicide. I am currently a comedian and activist for mental health.
Short bio:
As part of lifelong dedication to making his life more difficult than it needs to be, Von knew he had to become an artist.
Having honed an ability to laugh at nearly anything from years of dealing with traumatic events (both in his own life and in those he helped as a first responder), Von crafted a wild theory - that anything can be funny (if you just look at it weirdly). After a few years of learning to apply this theory to some of the most difficult struggles of his life…the result is nothing short of magical. Join Von on an intense and outrageous ride as you laugh your way through fear, confusion, and adrenaline - but also love, hope, connection, and what it means to heal.
