Michael Goddart Talks About The Contentment Dividend
Michael Goddart is with us today for the fourth time, to talk about his lovely book, The Contentment Dividend, Meditations for Realizing Your True Self. Michael began to meditate when he was in his teens, and he tells us that his exceptional ability to meditate really has shaped his life. He is the author of several deeply spiritual books which have won him multiple awards. His books in particular include A New Now: Your Guide to Mastering Wisdom Daily, Achieving Equilibrium, and Empowering Your Nobler Self, which is the winner of nine book awards and honors. And also In Search of Lost Lives: Desire, Sanskaras, and the Evolution of a Mind & Soul, which was a winner of the American Book Fest Best Book Award, the Living Now Book Award, the Body Mind Spirit Book Award, and the National Indie Excellence Award. Thirty-sixth Episode: Roberto is a retired, decorated Hartford, Connecticut, police officer with more than 26 years on the job. He’s also a SAG-AFTRA actor and professional model, a writer of dozens of poems and short stories, a motivational speaker, an inventor, a Salsa dancer and instructor, a former bodybuilding champion and Personal Trainer, a Hartford Mounted Police Rider and Instructor, and an author of two books. His memoir, Fighting Through the Hurdles of My Life, captures his story of survival, heartbreak, redemption, and beating the odds in a way no one expected. He’s now working on his third book, a children’s book about his life as a Hartford Mounted Police Officer with Alex the Wonder Horse. Roberto’s intent for sharing his journey is to make a difference in the lives of others. "Peaceful Parents" with David Romanelli
Scarlett has partnered with David Romanelli to create a program called "Peaceful Parents" aimed at bringing more peace into the lives of parents. The program includes advice from various experts in short, digestible segments over 21 days. The program was inspired by the US Surgeon General's advisory on the mental health and well-being of parents, which revealed that 33% of parents are experiencing high levels of stress and 48% feel overwhelmed most days. Kids GARDENING: Helping Young Minds Grow

Gardening is a highly engaging learning activity that can be incorporated into a school curriculum to offer real world applications of math, language, science and social studies, while also helping students enhance their physical, social, emotional and mental development. KidsGardening is a well-established non-profit that guides educators and caregivers in bringing the life-changing benefits of gardening to kids. The organization supports the garden development process by providing grant funding, education resources, creative inspiration and community building.
Em Shipman, Executive Director of Kids Gardening, is a nonprofit executive with nearly 20 years of experience leading transformative programs in food systems, agriculture, and education. She holds a B.A. in Public Policy and Anthropology from Hobart and William Smith College and an M.S. in Nonprofit Management from Marlboro College Graduate School. She has worked as a professional gardener and garden designer, and she is a mom of two young boys.
In this episode, Shipman shows how our children can realize their full potential in a garden space where they have access to healthy food, hands-on outdoor play and endless learning opportunities. She wants to ensure that the next generations of young people become the tidal wave of social and environmental change leadership needed to alter our trajectory and heal our planet and people.

Embracing Divine Simplicity: Moving Beyond Judgment to See God's World
David: Jesus taught us that our entire perception is built on judgment and fragmentation but that God Himself will wipe away all tears. He teaches us that our tears stem from our judgments. We perceive the world as fragmented because we judge, but we see a happy world when we cease to judge. God’s world is always there for us to see, and there is no external world apart from our mind. Judgment is not necessarily condemnation but rather the act of categorizing and giving false names and labels to things that don’t truly exist. Nothing exists in and of itself; nothing was meant to exist separately from everything else. We break our world into many pieces, naming and labeling them, which leads to more complexity. The ego created the world of specifics, and it continues to grow more complex with each new label. In today’s world, education has become increasingly specialized, shifting focus from simplicity to complexity. Our minds are constantly learning and over-learning. However, when we unlearn this complexity, we can hear divine guidance and sink deeper into the silence that needs no words to define it.
