Tenderness is pleasurable. So why does it feel like something to avoid, something to cringe from, something to quickly get through? When you are tender with yourself, or someone is tender with you, it is vulnerable. So why not be vulnerable? We all have our stories. Radical Self Tenderness takes self care to the next level. We cultivate within us a vibration of love that heals, What if taking care of you is part of taking care of the world? If you live tenderly on the inside could it contribute to more tenderness in your life and in those whose lives you touch? Can you be tender with what causes you to feel pain? Can you see how self acceptance contributes to peace? What if we were meant to love ourselves? What would that make possible?
Christie has spent more than thirty years developing leaders and managing change. While in the high tech sector, she simultaneously held leadership positions at work and in the community. Christie is an American Leadership Forum Senior Fellow and faculty member. For five years, she served on the Women’s Leadership Board at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. She was the founding board chair of GreatSchools.net, served two terms as an elected school trustee (recognized by CTA with their State Gold Award) and also chaired the board for GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network. She is an expert facilitator of Contextual Leadership with the Institute of Women’s Leadership and The American Leadership Forum, Silicon Valley. Licensed in 2007 and ordained with CSL in 2015, Christie teaches virtually with Illli.org and soulcallglobal.org and is a member of the ministry team at First Unity Spiritual Campus in St. Petersburg, Florida. Christie also currently serves as executive advisor and spiritual guide to leaders from both the non-profit and corporate sectors. Her new book “Radical Self Tenderness”“ How nurturing your soul can help heal the world” is out from Park Point Press. She and her wife Jane Harper have four children and seven grandchildren and live between the U.S. and Italy.

"There's Really only One of Us.”  Commentary by David Hoffmeister
In this movie commentary, David focuses on the unity of life. He reminds us that 'A Course in Miracles' is a radical redefinition of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, focusing on teaching only love for what is what one is. This interpretation of the crucifixion emphasizes the importance of finding love in one's life and with God. The phrase "there's really only one of us" is used to emphasize the unity of the mind, which is not limited to the five senses. The belief in separation has generated a cosmic projection of time and space with different cultures, languages, and planets. Jesus teaches that the spirit never enters the world and that the world is a screen of projections.
The first lesson of the Course is "Nothing I see means anything at all." This realization can make everything we perceive, including the body and the five senses, irrelevant. The awareness of the Spirit is also important, as the Spirit doesn't die but is pure love. This awareness can set us free from the belief system of separation, allowing us to see that our mistakes, achievements, and flaws are nothing. The first lesson of the Course is a powerful reminder that we are all One and that everything we perceive is an illusion.

Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #582 is an hour of visionary acoustic musical improvisation featuring the versatile, multi-talented Gaea Star Band with Mariam Massaro on vocals, acoustic guitar, Native flute, ukulele and percussion, Bob Sherwood on piano and Craig Harris on Native drums and congas.  Today’s show was recorded live at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, Massachusetts in mid-July of 2024 and begins with the sedate, peaceful “Oh Mother Earth, We Love You”, built around Mariam’s ukulele and sinuous vocal and a Gershwinesque piano accompaniment from Bob.  “Oh, The Moon And The Stars” begins as a bittersweet folk ballad, spacious and mournful, a prayer to nature in each of Mariam’s elegant couplets and culminates with a gorgeous, languid conversation between Mariam’s vocal and her Native flute.  Stepping into a languid blues mode with the shuffling “Oh, The Rain” the band drifts into a Beatlesque groove as Mariam weaves 21st century melodies into the psychedelic brew.  “We Are Here Now, Inside Our Body Temple” is an unusual, haunting air with an airy, gossamer vocal from Mariam and “Bless Your Journey” spins an unusual, retro jazz R&B groove from a sparse Native flute and drum intro that culminates in a powerful series of gospel choruses.  The band gives Mariam’s “Isis” and “Sail To The Realms” a brisk, airy runthrough with a fine vocal and solid rhythm from all as we finish this week’s installment with the rich, gorgeous, burnished majesty of “Just Abandon All Longings”.
