She used her past in a small Midwestern town — influenced by family, friend, relationships, choices, consequences, and situations — to try to understand her disillusionment with the present. Combining that effort with her desire to regain her sense of benevolence, she wrote and published a memoir, Walking Old Roads. I read it. That’s how I know Tammy’s a writer of the first order.
