Take Back Your Life & Reclaim Yourself After Infidelity
Everyone loves to get pumped up and excited about how great they and their lives will be after infidelity or divorce. But sometimes, when life returns to “normal,” they feel like they have failed. While bursting through the pain of infidelity and shining brightly on the other side sounds great, what does success look like for you? If you sometimes feel the pressure to be a certain way, or act like you have it all together after betrayal, then this is the show for you. No, you do have to do something spectacular after infidelity, you just need to be true to who you are and what you want. For you, finding quiet and calm might be more than enough. Or not… Join Lora as she unpacks what it really means to reclaim yourself and take back your life after infidelity.
Step One - Stop Doing & Start Being: Unhook, unplug, and spend a day quiet and alone with nothing to do. Let your mind wander, let thoughts come up, and just allow yourself to be.
If it feels right, make gently inquiries into the masks you wear and all the ways you have been seeking to please, conform, and perform for others instead of being who you are.
Step Two – Remove the Mask & Reveal Yourself: Take slow steps to reveal yourself without your mask. Whether it’s going to the grocery store without makeup or hair done, telling someone no, or choosing a different route for yourself, begin searching within for the answer that suits you best.
Place one hand on your heart, one on your solar plexus, take a few breaths, and tune into what you really want in each moment. Honor the wisdom of your body and soul.
Step Three – Practice Being You!: While it might seem self-evident, your life is about you and you deserve to make yourself happy. You deserve to learn new relationship skills, you deserve to give, take, and flow in your relationships and in your life. Will you get it perfect every time? NO! And that’s okay. That’s why we practice.
Continue to self-reflect, learn, feel, and most importantly trust in yourself, your intuition, and the perfection of your crazy, imperfect life! Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #505 is an hour of compelling musical improvisation by The Gaea Star Band with Mariam Massaro on vocals, Native flute, Celtic harp, acoustic guitar, ukulele and shruti box, Cevher Demirel on congas, Celtic harp, vocals and flute and Bob Sherwood on piano, vocals and tabla.  Recorded live at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, Massachusetts in October of 2022, today’s show eases into being with the meditative “Fire Transforms”, a hypnotic piece featuring an inspired poem from Mariam above a spacious groove of piano and congas.  “Listen To The Trees” is a delicate, drifting ballad based around Mariam’s journeying acoustic guitar and featuring lyrical flute from Cevher and “Reborn” from Mariam’s “Gaea Star Crystal” album is given a singularly powerful airing with a powerful vocal from Mariam.  Bob then leads the band through an airtight, driving rendition of his new song “Coming Home”, featuring Mariam’s excellent native flute.  “We’re Rising” is a delicate raga built on a foundation of Cevher’s gently propulsive Celtic harp and Mariam’s foundational shruti box.  The band stretches and morphs until arriving at “May We All Realize Our True Colors”, a lush and expressive song that Mariam brings to life with her chiming ukulele and evocative vocal as Bob teases a gospel framework into the arrangement.

A Course in Miracles states that there is no universal theology, but that there is a universal experience, and our focus is on having a direct experience of who we are in reality. We're not focusing on concepts. We're not focusing on the scaffolding in form because the Spirit can use lots of different scaffoldings to reach the goal. I rather have a direct experience of who I am as Christ and a direct experience of God. So, in the end, that's why the ACIM lesson 189 says, forget this world, forget this course and come with fully empty hands into your God. We're just a band of seeming people worldwide focused on that experience.
