Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #633 is an hour of visionary improvised acoustic music recorded by The Gaea Star Band with Mariam Massaro on vocals, Native flute, acoustic guitar, mandolin, ukulele and shruti box, Bob Sherwood on piano and Craig Harris on congas and Native drum. Recorded live at Singing Brook Studio in early August of 2025, today’s show begins with sprightly, upbeat versions of two of Mariam’s songs from her “Release” LP, the mystical “Distant Star” and the meditative prayer to life “One More Day”. “Oya Thunderqueen” is a rock ‘n’ roll blues from Mariam’s “Gaea Star Goddesses” LP and “Your Eyes Shine” is a deep, emotional love song from the “Smooth Sailin’ Love Songs” LP played with passion and intensity from the ensemble. We move into the richly improvisatory portion of today’s show with a flourish of Native flute and deep Native drum with “Keep Holding The Fire Deep Within”, a gorgeous, mystical piece that develops into a soaring piano and Native flute sonata with a rich, classical feel. “We Have To Change Just a Little Bit More” develops from the forest song of Mariam’s beautiful poetry and soaring Native flute to a gorgeous jazz/classical exploration, rich, varied and evocative. “Rings Of Fire” is a fantastical raga with a wide-ranging, reverent vocal from Mariam with underpinning from her shruti box drone, imaginative, active piano from Bob and heartbeat drums from Craig. “Oh The Sweet Mother Earth” is a dancing, rhythmically complex song with a soaring vocal from Mariam above her chiming ukulele, breathless, percussive piano and skipping congas. Today’s show completes with the deep and mysterious “Beyond The Veils Of Unbelief” an unusual song about magic and magical creatures, a story told by Mariam with her wide-ranging, energized vocal. The ensemble of mandolin, congas and piano is intense and imaginative, medieval and modern, flowing effortlessly between major and minor.

Jolisa received her Bachelors in Psychology from Bethune Cookman University and her Masters in Social Work from Barry University, where she is currently pursuing her doctorate degree. Born and raised in Denver, CO, Jolisa comes from a big blended, military family which has developed a great passion for her working with children and their families providing them with dedication, support, skills and resources to address their needs. Jolisa has years of experience providing services in a variety of settings to diverse youth and their families which includes Department of Children and Families, community mental health settings, school social work, private practices  as well as family and child agencies. Jolisa has since founded her own private practice established in 2021 called Hope Anchors The Soul. Jolisa utilizes a variety of techniques and skills drawn from therapeutic modalities, specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Informed therapy, EMDR, Trauma Response Exercises, Play Therapy, mindfulness and relaxation. Jolisa is dedicated to providing individuals and their families a safe environment of compassion, and support to help them overcome obstacles to move forward and thrive. Awakening to Eternal Life
As a warm-up to this year's Mystical Christ Academy, David invites people in using the movie Premonition to emphasize that the ego creates a fictitious world of time and space, distracting us from our true identity as the Christ, the perfect Son of God. He conveys that concepts like birth, death, and emotional turmoil are illusions that do not reflect reality. David refers to lessons from A Course in Miracles, particularly the idea that nothing real can be threatened and nothing unreal exists. In the movie session, participants are encouraged to recognize that the events in the movie unfolding are merely projections of a mind lost in illusion. David focuses on the notion that true peace comes from realizing the eternal nature of existence, beyond the drama of the physical world.
