The effortless universal virtue of humility is what evokes enlightenment in life. The big problem with this mystical virtue is generally we only have fleeting moments of its power, as we constantly get sucked back into the subjective dramas of the world in our mind. As a result, we revere the sage for their sustained absorption in the lowest and paradoxically most powerful state of humility. A master absorbed in the humble and most refined state of consciousness has truly accepted life as it is. They have no desire to promote their own agenda, as from this state all agendas have evaporated like dewdrops on a hot sunny day. - Jason Gregory, The Science and Practice of Humility.
Jason Gregory is a spiritual philosopher, independent scholar, writer, and teacher specializing in the fields of Eastern philosophy, Western esotericism, comparative religion, psychology, culture, and ancient civilizations.
Jason is the author of two books and the creator of one documentary. He is the author of the highly acclaimed 'The Science and Practice of Humility' and the cult classic 'Way of the Weirdo', and the writer and director of the documentary 'The Sacred Sound of Creation'

Anthropologist, Activist, a Wild Child of the Sixties and a Celibate Zen Priest~ A Conversation with Joan Halifax
“Our daily lives are the vehicles for awakening, for freeing ourselves and others from suffering.” Roshi Joan Halifax
Joan Halifax and I were a part of that rich broth of creativity and humanism that was exploring new dimensions of healing, personal growth, and spirituality at Esalen Institute back in the 1970s. Roshi Joan Halifax is an anthropologist and an activist, a wild child of the sixties and a celibate Zen priest. She is the founder, abbess, and head teacher of Upaya Zen Center, a Buddhist monastery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She is best known for sitting at the bedside of terminally ill patients and pioneering a form of contemplative care, known as the Being With Dying project, now in its seventeenth year. One of her core messages is “Strong Back, Soft Front”, a concept she will share with us during this hour.
We will examine the similarities and the differences between empathy and compassion, and why the Dalai Lama has said that love and compassion are not luxuries, that actually they are necessities, if human life is to survive on this planet. Roshi Joan will also share with us the essence of the GRACE process and other insights on developing our ability to experience both the power and the vulnerability of compassion.
Joan was born in 1942. At age four a serious virus caused her to go legally blind, from which she recovered two years later. Central to her recovery was the care of a black woman who was the daughter of slaves. You will learn the incredible gifts she received through the loving, selfless, humble, soulful care rendered by this woman, and how being blind taught her so much about the inner life.
She went on to become a civil rights activist and a protester against the Viet Nam war, then went on to receive her Ph.D in medical anthropology and psychology. She went to Mali, where she studied and learned from the indigenous Dogon tribe, and to Mexico, where she studied the Huichol Indians.
Don’t miss the wise words and the indomitable spirit of this wise woman!

Why You Need to Die and Be Born Again Each Day
I take you on an odyssey that involves a very intricate series of miraculous stories involving me and Jean, my husband in spirit.
I will be sharing a series of amazing manifestations that Jean made recently, all of which point to one lesson:
We must die and be born again each and every day.
The key to being born again is to let go of past emotional residue, hurts, resentments and grudges, all of which prevent us from fully living and loving in the now.
Tune in to discover how to use my X, Y Formula to help you resolve old and current issues that are dragging you down. My formula is the secret to carrying no residue from day-to-day. Master this formula and you will be born again each day into a heart that is a clean slate. In this clean slate state, you are free to love others without restraint, which invites others to love you back without restraint.
In this episode, I also talk about the need to clear away any emotional residue with those in spirit.
Here’s where my Dialoguing with the Departed technique comes in. When you reconnect and dialogue with those in spirit, you free yourself from all the old emotional garbage that stops you from being fully present to love all those who walk the earth as well as those who walk in spirit.
Tune in to this transformative show and be prepared for your life and relationships to change for the better.

Gaea Star Crystal Show with Mariam Massaro
Wednesday Nov 25, 2015
Wednesday Nov 25, 2015
Gaea Star Crystal #190 features great songs by Mariam Massaro in an exciting improv format provided by Mariam and The Gaea Star Band featuring Mariam on vocals, baritone ukelele, 12-string acoustic guitar and native flute, Dameron Midgett on mandolin, violin, kalimba and Tibetan bowls, Craig Harris on congas and marimba and Bob Sherwood on piano. We begin with the psalm-like "Manitona", a piece that slowly picks up tempo until it resolves into a lovely, impassioned flute solo from Mariam. "Evangeline" follows, a pop-folk piece featuring Mariam's baritone ukelele and a contented, lovely lyric. "Behind The Clouds" is built on Mariam's contemplative, modal acoustic 12-string set to an electronically mutating, mystical soundstage. Following the break we present a driving take on Mariam's classic "All Life Unfolds" featuring her dulcimer to a drum-heavy backing. "I'm Gonna Rise" is a pretty and emphatic piece building on a driving duet between Dameron's fiddle and Bob's minimalist, shifting piano.

Exploring the Mystery of Consciousness with Peter Russell
Peter Russell talks with Cynthia Sue Larson about how science has been so far unable to predict that any living thing should be conscious, working from assumptions of the physical world being the real world. Russell talks about the benefits of adopting a different set of foundational assumptions of consciousness being primary. Russell offers advice for scientists, psychologists and computer programmers at this time of global paradigm change to embrace the metaparadigm that consciousness is primary. Russell describes a form of meditation that requires no effort and offers wonderful rewards, and describes what he knows for sure that can positively transform the world.
Peter Russell gained an honors degree in physics and experimental psychology at the University of Cambridge, England, and postgraduate degree in computer science. He studied meditation and Easter philosophy in India, and on his return conducted research into the neurophysiology of meditation and the University of Bristol.
